MyWebCric on Android TV
Get the MyWebCric TV app on Android TV and Google TV with a short download code. It takes about a minute.
The TV app is not on the Play Store, so you fetch it with the free Downloader app.
Install in four steps
- Get Downloader. Open the Play Store on your TV, search for Downloader and install it.
- Enter the code. Open Downloader, select the address box at the top and type the code shown on this page. Press Go.
- Allow the install. The first time, your TV asks to let Downloader install apps. Open the setting it shows and switch it on, then go back.
- Open MyWebCric. Choose Install, then Open. The app also appears in your apps row.
Switch not showing? On some Google TV models, go to Settings › System › About and press OK seven times on Android TV OS build to unlock developer options. The install switch then appears.
Other TVs
- Samsung: open the Internet app and go to MyWebCric.
- LG: open Web Browser and go to MyWebCric.
- Fire TV: use the Silk browser.
- Any TV: cast from Chrome on a laptop or phone, mirror from an iPhone to Apple TV, or connect a laptop with an HDMI cable.
Questions
The code opens search results instead of the app
Type the code in Downloader's own address box, not in the TV's search bar or a web browser.
It says App not installed
Free some space on the TV, then try again. If an older MyWebCric app is installed, uninstall it first.
Should I turn the install permission off afterwards?
You can. Switch it off once the app is installed and turn it on again only when you update.
The TV browser loads the page but not the player
Some built-in TV browsers are too old for live video. Use the TV app above, or cast from a phone or laptop.
